Bangkok & Phuket

Evening meeting at the airport and flight via Singapore to the capital of Thailand.

Arrival in Bangkok at 14.40. After formalities and baggage collection, meet your local guide. During the transfer to the hotel, you will receive initial information about the country and daily activities. After settling into the rooms, we suggest an afternoon outing to Siam's main square to enjoy the festivities of the Thai New Year and the famous Songkran festival, also known as the water festival. Arm yourself with a water fighting spirit and of course get soaked! The events and various concerts will take place until April 15.

Breakfast and we start directly with the tour of the "Venice of the East", as Bangkok is called because of the numerous canals that run through it. We start with a boat ride along the Chao Praia River with its countless canals or klongs, from where we will have a unique view of the Royal Palace. Our first stop is the famous Dawn Temple, covered with pieces of Chinese porcelain and spectacularly dominating the river. We will then visit on the opposite bank, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Po), where we will have the opportunity to see one of the most impressive statues of the Buddha in an inclined position. This temple is also the oldest and most prestigious Thai massage school in the country. Continue to tour the Pratunam area and the local market, while enjoying the unique atmosphere with the traditional street vendors of the capital's flea markets. Transfer to our hotel and rest. In the evening visit one of the many flea markets in the metropolis or one of the cosmopolitan skyview bars overlooking the skyscrapers of Bangkok.

Breakfast and free day to move around the city's flea markets and shopping malls, participating of course in the Songkran festival events. Alternatively, we recommend the day trip to Ayutthaya, the old capital of Thailand, to visit the city's archaeological site, with its 14th-18th century temples. The historical park, a Unesco World Heritage Site, covers an area of 289 hectares. Among other things, you will have the opportunity to see the impressive ruins of the royal palace and the three stupas of Wat Phra Si Sanphet, remnants after the destruction of the city in 1797 by the Burmese. You will also see the famous Wat Mahathat Monument, where the Buddha's head lies wedged between the numerous roots of a tree, and Wat Panang Chong, with the largest seated Buddha. Return in the afternoon to Bangkok. In the evening we recommend you to watch the Siam Niramit spectacle, featuring the history and cultural richness of Thailand in a theatrical extravaganza. You can also stroll through Bangkok's Asian night market.

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport to fly to the southwest coast of the country and cosmopolitan Phuket. Arrival, formalities and meeting with our local representative. During your transfer to the hotel you will receive initial basic information about the island and daily activities. Check in to room and free time for rest or first dip in the Indian Ocean.

Breakfast and pick up from the hotel for the tour of the island. First stop at Karon View Point, a unique point in Phuket with incredible views of Karon, Kata and Kata Noi beaches. Next stop at Prom Thep Cape, the beautiful peninsula next to Nai Harn beach, which is the southernmost point of the island. While driving, you will pass by the emerald waters of Rawai Beach, where there is a picturesque fishing village with traditional Thai boats dotting the waters. Next stop is the highest point on the island, where there is a majestic temple in the shape of a huge Buddha. The "Big Buddha" as it is known, is visible from various parts of the island and was built at this point with contributions from the local people to protect Phuket and its people from above. The last stop of today's tour will be at Wat Chalong temple, which is described as the most beautiful temple on the island due to its architectural peculiarity and one of the most important places of worship for the locals, which you will realize during your visit there. Return to the hotel and free rest to take advantage of it as you wish.

Breakfast and free day. Today we recommend a full day excursion to the famous Pi Pei Pei Islands and Maya Bay, where the famous movie "The Beach" with Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed, one of the most spectacular beaches in Thailand. Discover the Viking Caves and admire the emerald crystal waters and limestone cliffs. Marvel at the underwater wealth of Bamboo Island with its tropical fish and colourful corals. Another stop on today's cruise is Monkey Island (Monkey Beach), where monkeys come down to the beach to play with you in exchange for food. Duration: 9 hours, lunch, drinks and equipment included, park entrance not included, what to bring: sunscreen and camera.

Free days to enjoy your hotel's facilities, visit the famous beaches of Phuket, bargain in the flea markets, taste delicious local delicacies and of course have a Thai massage. Optionally, we recommend you to do some of the suggested excursions and activities, such as:

• Full day excursion - cruise to Pang Nga National Park and James Bond Island
• Visit to Coral Island or diving in the Similan Archipelago
• River rafting and elephant trekking
• ATV ride through the jungle
• Zipline through the Hanuman World theme park

In the evening, enjoy countless entertainment options at local restaurants and bars on the main Patong and Karon beaches, and you can catch several shows offered on the island, such as the Siam Niramit Show and the Phuket Fantasea Show.

After breakfast, free time for last dives or shopping. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport and flight back to Greece via a stopover. Arrival in Athens the next morning, full of wonderful images and memories.
