We will also see the Golden Alley, a series of small colorful shops that originally served as accommodation for the palace guards and today sell tourist items and local sweets.Free time for shopping, but also for panoramic photos of the city.

In the morning and today we suggest an excursion to the "Florence of the North", Dresden. We will visit the beautiful city with a long and glorious history, which was indeed the seat of the Saxon kings. The city is built on the enchanting valley of the river Elbe, it is the capital of Saxony and on our city tour you will see why it is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Its characterization as the "Florence of the North" is not only exaggerated, as the city is a huge open-air museum where buildings-jewels, characteristic examples of baroque architecture and art spaces succeed one another.The city was completely destroyed by the bombing of allied aircraft during the Second World War, but left behind the ghosts of the past and was reborn, having regained its old glory. On our walk, we will see the Opera House, built in 1841 and stands out for its special architecture, the Cathedral, which dominates with its bell tower, the town hall, the Renaissance palace, the Zwinger palaces, the jousting grounds, the gunpowder tower, the Canaletto terrace, the Academy of Fine Arts, the cellars of the Vettinas, the bridge of Augustus that joins the new and the old Dresden.Free time in the city for lunch and in the afternoon return to Prague. For the evening, for a different view of the "heart" of Prague, we suggest you go up to the observation tower of the Old Town Hall. Alternatively, you can test your endurance by climbing the 280 steps inside the cathedral of Saint Vitos to enjoy the view from the 100 meter high tower.

Breakfast at the hotel and today we offer a wonderful excursion to the spa town of Karlovy Vary in the Western Czech Republic, famous for its thermal springs. The town is located in the Tepla river valley near the German border, 140 km from Prague and is popular a tourist destination, especially for international celebrities who visit the spa town. Karlovy Vary was founded by Emperor Charles IV in the 14th century and was named "Royal City" by him. Since then it has been established as a meeting place for personalities of letters, arts and politics.Crossing the main pedestrian street next to the Tepla river we understand why Goethe, Schiller, Beethoven, Bach, the Tsar of Russia etc. walked the same street.
