Day 1: Flight to Basel – City tour – Arrival in Olten
Arrival at Basel Airport, in the city of three borders that connects Switzerland, France, and Germany. Our first encounter with the country begins with a tour of the old town: colorful buildings, cobbled streets, and the flow of the Rhine that sets the pace of city life. We will see the Basler Münster Cathedral, the impressive Town Hall with its red facade and painted arcades, and walk to the historic Mittlere Brücke bridge, which offers a panoramic view of the river. Free time for coffee or lunch at Marktplatz before we depart by road for Olten, the heart of Switzerland. An ideal base for our excursions, Olten is located right in the center of the country, perfectly combining practicality and tranquility. Arrival, check-in at the hotel, and overnight stay.
Day 2: Zurich – Lucerne – Mount Pilatus – Cruise on Lake Lucerne
After breakfast, departure for Zurich, the economic and cultural capital of Switzerland, where tradition and elegance meet modern life. Tour of the historic center with stops at Grossmünster Cathedral, Münsterbrücke Bridge, and the bustling Bahnhofstrasse pedestrian street, full of luxury shops, elegant cafes, and an atmosphere of urban sophistication. The view of the mountains from Lake Zurich is breathtaking; here, photos always turn out like postcards. Next is Lucerne, one of the most beautiful cities in the country, on the shores of Lake Lucerne. We will see the Chapel Bridge, the Lion Monument, the narrow streets and the markets of the old town. Those who wish can climb Mount Pilatus (2,132 m) by cable car or cogwheel train to enjoy the endless views of the Alps and lakes. The day ends with a cruise on the lake, surrounded by scenery of unparalleled beauty. Return to Olten and overnight stay.
Day 3: Interlaken – Lauterbrunnen – Staubbach Falls
The Switzerland of postcards comes to life today! Morning departure for Interlaken, between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, with the impressive peaks of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau in the background. A short stroll through the center will reveal the charm of this resort: picturesque wooden houses, flower-filled balconies, and the large Höhematte square filled with paragliders in the sky. A little further on, the village of Lauterbrunnen stretches out in a narrow valley with 72 waterfalls cascading from every rock. We will visit the impressive Staubbach Falls, which fall almost vertically from a height of 300 meters, creating a silver "curtain" of water. Free time for a walk, photos, and coffee under this breathtaking spectacle. Those who wish can take the cable car up to Mürren, an alpine village with stunning views of the peaks. Return to Olten in the afternoon. We recommend crossing the wooden bridge, inspired by the one in Lucerne, which leads to the old town. There, you will have the opportunity to enjoy traditional Swiss flavors and drink your wine or beer by the river, in a magical setting.
Day 4: Gruyères – Maison Cailler – Gstaad
A day dedicated to flavors and tradition. Our first stop is the fairytale village of Gruyères, famous for its Gruyère cheese. We will stroll through the cobbled streets, visit the 13th-century castle and the local cheese dairy, where we will learn the secrets of cheese making and taste authentic Swiss cheese. A little further on, in Broc, is Maison Cailler, the legendary chocolate factory. Its interactive tour takes us on a journey through the history of Swiss chocolate — from the cacao tree to the tasting. The aroma of chocolate fills the air and it's hard to leave without a small gift box! In the afternoon, we arrive in Gstaad, the cosmopolitan resort of the Alps. There we will wander through the narrow streets lined with wooden chalets, designer shops, and an alpine atmosphere that has enchanted artists and stars alike. Return to Olten and overnight stay.
Day 5: Bern – Lausanne
Breakfast and departure for Bern, the capital of Switzerland. A city that combines medieval elegance with the feel of a small, cozy capital. We will explore its historic center, with its large arcades, colorful fountains, and Renaissance buildings. We will see the Clock Tower (Zytglogge), Einstein's House, and the Bear Garden, symbol of the city. Then we descend to Lausanne, built amphitheatrically on the shores of Lake Geneva. Tour of the historic center and visit to the Ouchy waterfront, dominated by the Olympic Museum and the cafes by the lake. The view of the French Alps is breathtaking, while the atmosphere is reminiscent of the Riviera. Free time for a walk and lunch before returning to Olten.
Day 6: Olten – Basel – Return flight
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Basel airport. A journey full of images, flavors, and experiences comes to an end, leaving behind memories of a Switzerland full of nature, tradition, and culture.
