Day 1: Athens - Barcelona

Meeting at the airport and flight to the capital of Catalonia, Barcelona. Arrival, transfer and check-in at the hotel. We're off right away for our first walking tour of downtown Barcelona. We will walk La Ramplas, the most famous pedestrian street in Spain. La Ramplas with its flower market, with its outdoor artists and painters with its inexhaustible vibrancy. We will see the famous and one of the most important in the world, the Gran Teatre del Liceu opera house. Then we will visit the central food and fruit market La Boqueria. An amazing market where you can try the famous Spanish cured meats, exotic fruits and eat fresh fish and tapas. Continuing our walk we will see the Canaletas fountain, where if you drink water you will 'return' to Barcelona according to a local tradition. It is also the meeting point for fans of the most successful team of the 21st century, Barcelona F.C. Then we will be in the "heart" of Barcelona, ​​Catalunya Square with its fountains and the huge windmill on its floor. From there we will continue to the famous Passeig de Gracia avenue with the most expensive shops in the city and the most beautiful houses from the era of Catalan modernism such as Casa Lleó i Morera by Lluis Doménech i Montaner, Casa Amatller by Josep Puig i Cadafalch and Casa Batllo of the great Antoni Gaudí forming the Square of Discordia (Discord). Above is another great work of Antoni Gaudí, Casa Mila. We will end our first contact with the city on the parallel road Ramplas Catalunya.

Day 2: Barcelona

Then we will go through the Passeig de Gracia crossing the city and end up, passing through the beach area of ​​Barceloneta, in Porto Olympico. Our next stop is Antoni Gaudí's masterpiece the famous Sagrada Familia church which is still under construction. First we will see its perimeter and then we will visit its interior. This is where our morning tour will end, back to the point where the bus picked us up in the morning.

  • For those who wish, and after free time for some rest and food in the surroundings of the Sagrada Familia, an optional guided tour will begin in Antoni Gaudí's Park Guell, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984. Park Guell is the perfect example of harmony of nature and architecture. From there we will head to the Arc de Triomf (Arc of Triumph) which is one of the important attractions of the city and on foot we will now enter and tour an equally important attraction the Parc de la Ciutadella.

After a coffee in the historic center of Figueres departure for the city of Girona where we will admire the Cathedral of Saint Mary of Girona with the largest nave of a Gothic church in the world! We will also walk through the Jewish suburb, one of the best preserved in Europe where the Sephardim lived, the Jews of Spain until 1492! Girona with its river, Onar, and the beautiful painted houses on the banks of the river reminiscent of Florence! Return to Barcelona.

For the evening, we suggest you watch Flamengo in its homeland and indulge in its intense and passionate rhythm.

Day 4: Barcelona - Valencia

After breakfast, departure for the most typical Mediterranean city of Spain, Valencia. Capital of the Levante, as the eastern side of Spain is called in Spanish. Arrival in the early afternoon and we will take a panoramic tour of the city, which carries the architectural and cultural tradition of a thousand years of its history. Today Valencia could be described as one of the most modern cities in Europe. We will pass through the old town and see the town hall which lends a Renaissance Baroque style and was the seat of the Republicans during the civil war. Next we will see the Palace of the Marques de dos Aguas, today a ceramics museum with its magnificent alabaster facade. We will also walk through the market with the old stock exchange and end up at the cathedral with the Mikelet tower, considered a symbol of the city. Arrival and check-in at the hotel.

Day 5: Valencia - Madrid

After breakfast we depart for the capital of Spain, Madrid. With early afternoon arrival in Madrid and check-in at the hotel. For the afternoon we suggest you, optionally, take advantage of the free time getting to know some of the many interesting points of Madrid, (in addition to what we will get to know on our planned tour together with its Museums). We will enjoy the masterpieces of El Greco, Velathqueth, Goya "standing" next to other equally important painters. Then we will walk through the narrow streets of the heart of Madrid. In the famous Barrio de la letras, one of the most bohemian districts in all of Europe, where many of Spain's great painters and writers lived and created. Our tour will end with the medieval part of the city, the Madrid of the Habsburgs.

In the free afternoon, we suggest you take advantage of it by taking an optional excursion to Segovia, the city of Queen Isabel, the old capital of Castile.

Day 7: Madrid - Toledo

After the morning departure for the "City of Three Cultures", Toledo, a city with a great historical, artistic and cultural heritage. We will wander through the narrow streets of the medieval city and visit the Cathedral, a unique building of great artists and a mixture of many architectural styles, where we will see paintings by El Greco, of untold value, such as the Expolio and the Apostles collection. Next, the church of Santo Tome, we will admire El Greco's masterpiece "The Burial of Count Orgath". Then a visit to a factory with "Damasquinad", a well-known Toledan art that comes from the time of the Arabs. Return to Madrid.

  • For the afternoon we recommend a shopping stroll in the city's most elegant Barrio de Salamanca, a coffee in the atmospheric Plaza de Oriente overlooking the palace, or simply wander the narrow streets of the old town ending up in the impressive Plaza Mayor for a hot chocolate.
