Carnival in Nice - Lakes of N. Italy - Venice, 5 days

Meeting at the airport and flight to Bergamo. Then departure for the incomparably beautiful beaches of the Blue coast. Our first stop is the small Principality of Monaco and Monte Carlo. Arrival and introductory tour of Monte Carlo. We will take elevators to the top of the hill and the exotic gardens. External visit of the Grimaldi Palace, where we may also see the changing of the guard. Entrance to the cathedral where Grace Kelly is buried and then we depart for Nice. Arrival, check-in at the hotel and free time for a first acquaintance with the city.

Breakfast and departure for Cannes, the undisputed "queen" of the Côte d'Azur with the famous Croisette, one of the most famous streets in the world. We will see the magnificent buildings, and ultra-luxurious hotels, dating back to the Belle Epoque era, as well as the Palais des Festivals de Cannes. Then return to Nice for its panoramic tour. We will cross the Promenade des Aglais, the city's famous seafront, with its magnificent Belle Époque buildings such as the Negresco, the Palais de la Mediterrané, the Place Massena, the city library, the Acropolis (the city's convention center) and we will end up at Cimiez Hill, where the history of the city began. Then we will see the Opera House, the Town Hall, the Court House, the Ruska Palace, the Cathedral and we will pass through the aristocratic district of Cimiez, with its magnificent 19th century mansions including the Regina Palace, residence of the Queen of England Victoria. We will visit the Franciscan monastery from where we will enjoy the wonderful view. The rest of the day is dedicated to the most spectacular Mediterranean Carnival. We start at noon with the parade of blooming floats and the Flower War. In the afternoon we will watch the illuminated carnival parade (8:30 p.m.).

Breakfast and departure for Milan. Arrival and short tour of Milan. During which we will see the largest Gothic building in the country, the Duomo Cathedral, the famous covered gallery Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the neoclassical staircase of Milan and its museum. Then departure for the enchanting Como. Check in at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. We will see the enchanting Como, which is undoubtedly one of the most unique towns in Northern Italy. We will walk through its historic center and admire the green landscape reflected in the waters of Lake Como. Then we will depart for Lake Garda, Italy's largest lake. A popular tourist destination, the lake was formed at the end of the Ice Age. It has many small islands that can be reached by boat and is ideal for sports such as skiing and sailing. We will head to medieval Sirmione, the most beautiful and popular resort on the lake. We will see the imposing castle, the old town with its stone houses and picturesque alleys. We will admire the house of Maria Callas, the villa of an ancient Roman rich lord and the walls. Leisure. We will then depart for the Mestre area of Venice, where we will spend the night.

Breakfast and departure for Tronchetto. Today we will get to know the city with its 118 islands, 160 canals and 400 bridges, the birthplace of Casanova and the traveler Marco Polo, or whose foundation dates back to the 5th century. We will depart by steamboat (own expense) to the Kastello area where the Orthodox church of St George of the Hellenes and the Byzantine Institute are located. Passing through picturesque bridges and narrow alleys we will see the imposing Palace of the Doges and we will end up in Saint Mark's Square where the famous Cathedral of St. Mark, a masterpiece of Byzantine architecture with impressive mosaics, the Campanile bell tower, the Clock Tower, the Markian Library and the famous Carrer Museum. Then departure to the airport and boarding the return flight to Thessaloniki
